Leading the surge forward was the league's most valuable player, Rich Hermle. Paul Arace's fine shooting and ballhandling earned him all league honors. Team capt. Ed Wehr, lack Timmons, Russ Leblanc, Dave Todd, and Tim Toews each played an important role in bringing the Frosh-Soph basketball title to Del Mar.
