Joan Bohnett On December 5, Queen Joan reigned over the first annual Christmas Dance, Silver Bells , along with her court of Four princesses. The president of the student body, Lloyd Gillespie, crowned the queen at the royal Her Majesty The Christmas 116611 event and sealed it with a kiss. The queen was chosen through a school- wide election, finally limiting the choice down to five Finalists. Of those, one became queen and the rest princesses. The winners were announced at the dance. Memories,Are Made Of This: Opening Day of School i On September 14, l959, Dell .ar High opened it's doors for the rst time to the proud, awaiting udent body of l,4i4. On this my there were not only the Fresh- en roaming the halls looking for toms, but also the Seniors found emselves lost in the dazzling ew school. Student Council Members acted as guides for the day. :udent Body President, Lloyd illespie, pushes Student Body ards. -1 The students stood in lines to get their programs, They talked over the good times they had over the summer.
