ACTIVITIES Activities are as much a part of our lives as algebra or English. The choice open to us is free and varied, ranging from the Ski Club for the hearty winter sportsmen to the Classics Club for the Latin enthusiasts. Almost everyone takes adi'antage of these opportunities, and our ram is no exception, for the D.H.S. spirit is an un- written clause in the constitution of .each club. e

Band Mothers The Band Mothers' Club is the group which fi- nancially supports the activities of the band, keeps them uniformed, and chaperones them on trips and appear- ances. This task was accomplished this year by holding thrift sales, a gift-tying ribbon sale, commemorative plate sale, and a Fashion Show in the spring. The Father's Concert was held this year on -Ian- uary 173 the annual concert was held jointly in City Hall with the Gardner, Massachusetts, High School band. On April 29 our band journeyed to Gardner for a joint concert. The officers for 1959-1960 were as follows: President .,..s.,.s Mrs. Albert R. VVhite, jr. The Pathfinders P.T.A. is an organization composed of parents and teachers connected with Deering High School and Lincoln Junior High School. This group allows teachers and parents to discuss topics relating to the students, and to come together on a common level. This year the P.T.A. was involved in the forma- tion of a teenage code.
