THE COLLEGE AND SCIENTIFIC COURSES The aim of the College and Scientific Courses is to provide the prospective college student with a basic and well rounded background in the sublects required for college entrance so that he may be able to con tinue his education in the academic field which is best for him Among the required and elective sublects are Languages English Latin French Spanish Mathematics Algebra I and II Geometry Mathematics D History History of Nations United States History Modern European History Problems of Democracy Science Biology Physics Chemistry All of these courses offer the student a varied cur riculum With the help of the courses and the guidance of teachers most college preparatory students find a place for themselves in a college suited to their needs and abilities THE PRACTICAL ART COURSE The Practical Art Course is arranged for the students who are interested in continuing to develop their skills, understandings, and appreciation in art. Since there are many new fields of art in the business world today students who have definite skill in art are urged to further their education along that line Some of the courses an art student may take are Languages English French Spanish Mathematics Algebra Geometry Arithmetic Gen eral Mathematics B Science General Science General Biology General Physics History World History Consumer Living United States History Problems in Democracy and of course the most important sublect of all Art This course is also planned to develop the students knowledge and consciousness of how art is used today throughout community living
