' MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT Math is the one subject that is used in all walks of life. Although math is a very hard subject, Deering's excellent department makes it an easy subject through excellent teaching. Dr. Katharine O'Brien is the head of the department, which includes such subjects as review math, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
