ifi : ff ? sis- G G e have a balanced team. More talent and height than before, That's what Mr. Don Cline, girl's JV basketball coach says about this year's team. The girl's JV and freshmen basketball season starts February 29 and ends the last of April. A few of the games that will be the hardest for the girl's are the ones against Xavier, Horizon, and Thunderbird. They have always been the toughest ones to beat in our league, Coach Cline comments. The freshmen are coached this year by Mr. Mark Palombo. l'm really looking forward to this season. l'm sure we'll do better than anyone expects us to, states Coach Palombo. It takes a lot of hard work, long hours, sweat, and pain to become a good basketball player and that's what these girls are striving for. So, are there any outstanding players? With the season just starting, it is difficult to say who is outstanding. There are those who show promise though, says Cline. The junior varsity and freshmen girls are the rising stars for next year. Their hard work and dedication will pay off during the season and next year. 'WZ , .. 54 ..
