Ot course its the coaches, the athletes and the cheerleaders, But there is another group who deserves just as much credit as those just mentioned. This group is the athletic trainers. The trainers take care of the athletes by means of first aid, CPR, rehabilitation and evaluation of injuries. All of the trainers are volunteers, They put in thirty to forty hours a week. Head trainer Rob Archer commented Athletic training is a very important job consisting of a knowledge dealing with emergency situations, rehabilitation of athletic injuries, and prevention of injuries. It is a very time consuming job but well worth the trouble. The trainers deal with a special type of person, The Athlete. T To be a trainer you have to have a 3.00 grade point average and be certified in first aid and CPR.
