and sets new records he DVHS Skyhawk Marching Band recently completed the most successful and award- laden season in the schooi's history. The honors included the bands drum majors Kim Couch, Angela Fair, and Greg Forquer and the Flag Line being selected as camp Grand A Champions at the Marching T Auxiliaries of America camp last August. ln Cctober, the band participated in the University of Arizona Band Day, where they were given a rating of Superior and were also awarded the Milton B. Nunemaker Award of Distinction for their outstanding musical performance. Then the band performed at the Arizona State University Band Day in Tempeg For their performance, they were awarded a perfect Superior rating from each ofthe tive-adjudicators in attendance. The new team is lull of good sportsmanship and team work. Degeronimo said ot the team. The junior drill team is made up of 24 members. The 802nd Color Guard is back as strong as ever. The Color guard has pertorrned at dining outs itormal dinnersl, football, basketball and soccer games, lt has also performed at parades and junior and High school graduations. Eash Color Guard is composed of 5 or 6 cadets. Four members carry flags, jAmerican, Arizonan, Air Force, and the 802nd Squadren flag. There are also two members that carry rifles.
