'K . OPPORTUNITIES EXCEL IN THE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AREA aving the chance to start a career while in high school is I a very valuable asset. The Medical Arts 1-2 is where it all starts. lt's this class that teaches the anatomy and physiology of the human body. The class goes into first aid and CPR, after learning the basics of the body. Ms. Sue Edwards, RN, commented, These classes give them the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of different areas. It gives them the oDDortunitv to see what the academics are like in these different areas. After Medical Arts 1-2, it is your choice to go on to 3-4. The 3-4 classes specialize in deveioping various areas in the Medical Arts. There are 11 different curriculae that students can take. For example, you could start training for dental assistant, physical therapy aide, nurses' assistant, food service, medical back office and a lab assistant. The class is based completely on thecurriculum you choose. lf, for example, you thought the dental assistant career sounded like you, that's what your focal point will be that year. 58 L T!ilQALT ?
