Chad Jones, sophomore, and Kelli Welch, junior, were this year's best players. Coach Hepting explained, Chad wants to be the best. Kelli is very competitive in tournaments outside of Deer Valley, which gives her the advantage of playing year round. Each of this year's players possesses the qualities of a wining tennis player. lt's these qualities that will help them achieve a winning season and aim high for the future. M Excitement is shown in out ot school sports xtraourricular sports are an exciting way to show enthusiasm. Elsworth Watson, junior, entered a bicycling competition in New York. He finished 23rd out of 70 other competitors. Skiing was one sport that dedicated participants eagerly awaited. Skiers traveled to the local spots like 1 Sunrise and Snowbowl, or the rnioulntains of Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico.
