He is backed by, Mike Forrest, Clyde Tubic, Marilyn France, and Kim Ulrich-Suss. Stephen Carroll, senior, is a distance runner. Being a distance runner, he focuses on endurance and an ability to run long distances. The track team practices Monday thru Friday 2:35-4:30. A good method according to coach Addabbo is that if an athlete is commited to working out, hefshe will give iOO0!0 at a track meet. Addabbo likes working with the athletes because he enjoys helping them reach goals. The girls are motivated, hard-working, competitive, aggressive, and intelligent. commented Mrs. Catherine Heimann, coach. The boys are returning from an li-2 season. Chad Jones, sophomore, and Kelli Welch, junior, were this year's best players. Coach Hepting explained, Chad wants to be the best. Kelli is very competitive in tournaments outside of Deer Valley, which gives her the advantage of playing year round. Each of this year's players possesses the qualities of a wining tennis player. lt's these qualities that will help them achieve a winning season and aim high for the future.
