Unity boosts season ith a total ot twelve players and the experience of head coach Dave Hodges, the Deer Valley Varsity basketball team gave their opponents tough competition. Our basketball program has improved because of the ott-season commitments made by the players. Coach Hodges commented. The team practiced after school tor many hours and the practice shows in their games. Mark Bieger, senior said, 'tits a very close team, like a family. The freshman team had a record of 11-2 while the JV team had a record of 10-7. Coach Anderson commented on the season: A very satisfying tall. Players improved from game to game and all of them contributed to a winning season. PLAYERS IMPROVED FROM GAME TO GAME. The season was developed by a devastating win over Shadow Mt. Deer Valley won by a combined score in two games of 30-1. The freshmarfs highlight game was Xavier, with a 15-2 and 15-O victory.
