You may also be able to get away with some things but not a whole lot. This year is where you may start looking towards the future. - Tanzy Toves To me being a sophomore means three things to me, one of them is that l'm not a freshman anymore, the second thing is that l'm going to be an upperclass- men next year. The last reason is I finally get to drive! That is what being a sophomore means to me. -Lisa Espinosa To be a sophomore means two years left of high school. As long as l'm in tenth grade l will continue to be a lower classmen, therefore, not enhancing my ego but preserving my confidence. - Brad Knott After entering my sophomore year, l am one year closer to being a freshman in college which begins four more years of the educational cycle, which leads to more emotional despair and physical let down.- Rob Zelms M141 -, ' .vm .ue

A PRIZE WINNING FLQAT he day before the competition the sophomore float had been tam- pered with, but that didn't stop them: the sophomores had worked hard getting ready for the homecoming. The float was a winner. The Go Hawaiian theme for this year's 1986 homecoming got the sopho- mores their first place award. The float was filled with all sorts of Ha- waiian trade marks, including erupting volcanos, palm trees, beach girls in grass skirts and leis, and throwing candy all at half time. We had a lot of fun doing it. Even though the float got trashed, we pulled it together at the end, said sophomore Toby Thomas.
