It was these qualities that served as the driving force behind us from our first hikathon through to graduation. Your devotion and leadership inspired us in the had times and enriched us in the good times. We Wish to acknowledge your tireless efforts and numerous sacrifices that, many times, went unnoticed but were always an important part of any success we achieved. Most of all, we hope to return, with profound grati- tude and appreciation, the deep love you have given us during these past four years. You were a leader, a lady, and through everything, a friend in the truest sense and it is for this that We thank you most. 4 di 1. Mr. Mornean, Senior Play Director. 2. Shad. 3. To prevent this overlapping of projects, a group called General Student Government was formed. The members of this group were the combined members of the three governing councils as well as a representative from each class. The Student Council deals with public service and school atmosphere, while the Stu- dent School Committee and the Student Advisoiy Council en- gage themselves in legislative duties, such as, bringing propos- als before the School Committee. 153 DISTRIBUTIVE ORK STUDY J EDUCATIO 7' l. The staff not only completed the eight issues appearing in the Daily Transcript, but also, succeeded in es- tablishing a new in- house newspaper for next year. As always, Mrs. Ziemien kept her students quite busy writing stories, briefs commentaries and ar- 9 ticles. The class also found time for a field trip to Boston Univer- sity for some lectures on newspaper writing, printing, and layout. Staff members spend many a late night at the home of Advisor Carol Zie- mian, editing, copying and retyping stories for print the following day. Students sign a letter of 1 thanks to the Canadian gov- ? emment when it was learned that Canada helped smuggle American diplomats out of Iran. 161 .r KQV f'.2,,i '::.'.
