Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away . . . Then we were iuniors. Remember when we . . . Entered the new wing for the first time . . . celebrated our foot- ball co-champs . . . laughed at loud- speaker announcements . . .ended double sessions . . . grew a Southern plantation in the gym . . . typed our first twenty words a minute- without mistakes . . . watched the seniors graduate . . . started real- izing our worlds were too small. I want to be free, like the bluebird flying by me . . . Then we were seniors. Remember when we . . . Told the freshman there was a swimming pool on the third floor . . . made sure that we had an easy schedule . . . filed into the audito- rium for the first time and saw everyone standing . . . cheered our teams harder than ever . . . became club presidents . . . planned our last high school prom . . . all tried out for a part in the senior play . . . started thinking about the future . . . said our good-byes. The time has come for clos- ing books and long last looks must end . . . Now we can only remember.
