Mr. Thomas F. O'Donne11 Principal To the Graduating Class of I969 We hope that good fortune follows you throughout the coming years. Most sincere congratulations on achieving your diploma are extended to you, and we also sincerely thank the many members of the class who contributed to making Dedham High School a better school than when you first entered in l966. Ralph Waldo Emerson's words can be followed to your advantage in the years to come: Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you, you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to the end requires some of the same courage which a soldier fl , 'fd' r vw l J H. .1 needs. We have profited in the past from his thoughts, and we hope they have a meaning for you. Most sincerely yours, Mr. Nicholas Desalvo Vice-Principal To The Class of i969 Graduation is a time not only for enjoying congratulations from others, but a time for personal reflection, for taking stock of your assets and making certain that your plans for the future have been carefully chosen, in order to fully develop that potential which is you. A successful life is lived most fully not only in bringing to reality its own dreams, but in helping to fulfill those of others. Lfalm

TO THE ADMINISTRATIQN . 33 Mr. James Dunne Superintendent .W 1 1 Mr. Harry McKay Administrative Assistant Many thanks for the guid- ance and consideration of the past years. Sometimes we failed to realize that there were other offices beyond those with which we were im- mediately concerned. Some- times it seems we forgot the importance of authority and the many headaches and responsibilities that accom- panied it. Yet, we will always remain grateful for the guid- ance no matter how self- assured we may have seemed. Mr. Joseph Bell Freshman-Senior Housemaster 7.
