as Well as ri Fund of Practical Knowledge MRS. PATRICIA McNALLY Mrs. McNally, our favorite home economics teacher, is a former graduate of D.H.S. Her patience and good humor were unlimited. Lawrence Wfelk is her favorite TV program, and sewing and sun bathing round out her interests. Mr. Gustafson, art and mechanical drawing instructor, possesses great talent which he has displayed in class and at prom decoration time. In addition to his activities here at Dedham, he teaches decorative painting at Quincy Evening High School, He reads extensively and is noted for his landscapes. His work has been exhibited at jordan Marsh Company and the Milton Public Library. Mr. Little frequently exclaimed, How about printing those cards so that they can be read? He has been most successful as head of our industrial arts department and as graphic arts teacher. Thanks to him our prom invitations were masterpieces. During the summer he works on radar installation at Wiggins Airport. Mr. Rosati . . , Bang! The wood, not your thLunb! exhorted Mr. Rosati at regular intervals in his shop classes. He contributed to our class events by serving as a senior advisor, and director of scenery for the senior play. Much of his spare time is spent in furnishing his new home with his own projects. c Books, Music, and a Guiding Hand :GQ L s. D .4f ,A MR. ROBERT SHREVE MRS. HELEN DUHAMEL MR. JAMES KISSELL Mr. Shreve . , . Band, left face! was a familiar sound at every band function. He directed our orchestra and glee club when we were underclassmen. It's good enough for jazz was a favorite expression, and fishing at his camp in Maine a delightful diversion. Mrs. Duhamel, our efficient librarian, joined us in senior year. Library Council membership immediately zoomed! One of her favorite books is the cookbook. Our thanks to Mrs. Duhamel for bringing many new facilities to our library. Mr. Kissell's work in Dedham High consists of interviewing pupils, providing vocational and educational information, and inaugurating testing programs. We were grateful for his genuine interest in our problems. At home he relaxes by puttering around his twelve rose bushes. Miss Flanagan . . . W'e can always use more gentlemen in the glee club frequently urged our new glee club instructor. Talented Miss Flanagan has been a solo pianist with the Boston Pops and with the Boston Symphony at the Esplanade and on radio and television. MISS FLANAGAN

N ature's Laws We MR. EDWIN PETERSON MR. MAURICE HURLEY Hurry or Move along! frequently exclaimed Mr. Hurley as he rushed to his classes of algebra, Latin, or driver educa- tion. A remarkable sense of humor carried him through hectic days. His favorite hobbies away from school are tropical fish and model railroads. Mr. Peterson, able head of our science and math department, gave us a background for college in chemistry and' physics. He was always willing to explain a tough equation. He re- cuperates from school by enjoying the beauties of nature at his New Hampshire camp. In 220 stand charts and a statue of a body thorax which Mr. Welch uses for his physiology classes, the favorite sub- ject of the class of '59. When not playing with his two children, he attends hockey games and drives his small M155 HELEN WXQQDSIDE foreign car. All right, quiz kids added sparkle to Miss Woodside's 20 MR, THOMAS WELCH algebra II and geometry classes. Remember 'Parentheses first, my dear Aunt Sally and An old Arabian custom ? Thanks to this capable chairman of senior advisors, our senior year activities were smoothly and efficiently carried out,
