Mr. Shorey was admitted to the Suffolk bar, 1859, and died at Dedham Jan. 24, 1862. Henry Sylvester Talbot, son of Sylvester W. and Mar- garet (Guild) Talbot, was born in Dedham, 1836. Attended the school two years. Mr. Talbot is an Engraver and Artist in Boston. Dedham, Mass. Celinda Smith Thompson, daughter of Joshua and Caroline Thompson, was born in West Dedham, 1837. At- tended the school two years. Died in Dorchester, Jan. 31, 1864. Mary Anne Turner, daughter of Elisha and Mary Ann (Taubert) Turner, was born in Providence, R. L, Aug. 16, 1836. Attended the school one year ; also private school in Boston. Married Charles H. Glidden in Dedham, Oct. 17, 1861. Their children are May Seligman, born Jan. 1, 1863, now deceased; Philip Taubert, April 7, 1868; Albert, Jan. 7, 1874; Carlton, July 25, 1875; Ivan, Nov. 17, 1879. Charleston, jS. C. George Francis Whiting, son of Eaton and Olive S. Whiting, was born in West Dedham, Oct. 16, 1835. Attended the school two years. Served in the war of the rebellion. Enlisted in Co. I, Thirty-fifth Mass. Vols. Aug. 16, 1862, for three years. Died Oct. 7, 1862, from wounds received at South Mountain, Md. Helen Relief Woodstock Wilder attended the school two terms. Married — Burnham.

Vice President and Manager of Mass. Title Insurance Company. Married in Boston, 1877 to Annie L. Jenkins. Attorney at Law. Boston, Mass. Thomas Sherwin, son of Thomas and Mary King (Gib- bons) Sherwin, was born in Boston, July 11, 1839. Attended the school two years. At Boston Latin School fitted for Harvard College, where he graduated. Taught in Medfield, Bolton, and English High School, Boston. Served in the War of the Rebellion. Commissioned for three years as Adjutant 22d Reg ' t Mass. Vols. Oct. 1, 1861. Promoted Major June 28, 1862. Lieut. Col., Oct. 17, 1862. Brevet Brigadier General U. S. Vols, at expiration of term of service. His regiment was in the Army of the Potomac, and he was in the following en- gagements: The Siege of Yorktown, Hanover Court House, Mechanicsville, Gaines Mills, where he was severely wounded in the shoulder, Antietam, Shepherdstown Ford, Fredericks- burg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Rappahannock Station, Mine Run, Siege of Petersburg, Weldon Railroad, and Peebles Farm. Was commander of Charles W. Carroll Post, No. 144, G. A. R. Married Isabella F. Edwards at Keene, N. H., Jan. 18, 1870. Their children are Eleaner, 17 ; Thomas E., 16 ; Mary King, 14; Robert W., 10; Ann Isabel, 8; Edward V., 3. He was Deputy Surveyor of Customs, Boston, 1866 to 1875. City Collector, Boston, 1875 to 1883. At present Auditor American Bell Telephone Co. Boston. Revere Street, Jamaica Plain, Mass. Cornelia Shorey, daughter of John and Cornelia (Guild) Shorey, was born in Boston, July 26, 1839. Attended the school six years. Married Henry O. Hildreth, Sept. 8, 1859, at Dedham. Their children are Henry Theodore, Feb. 19, 1863 ; Edward F., Oct. 13, 1864, who died Jan. 17, 1866. 10 Remington St., Cambridge, Mass. Helen Lucretia Bickner, daughter of Samuel Robinson and Lucretia (Pierce) Bickner, was born in Canton, Mass. Attended the school one year. Married George Warren Fisher in Boston, March 16, 1858. Dedham, Mass. Isadora Bonney, daughter of Daniel and Cordelia C. E. (Coney) Bonney, was born in Dedham, March 8, 1840. Attended the school five years. Taught schools in Dedham and Boston twenty-six years. Married Samuel O. Whitmore, Sept. 12, 1885, in Duxbury, Mass., and now resides there. Marshfteld Mass. Maria Amelia Brooks, daughter of Lemuel A. and Eliza Brooks, was born in Boston, Feb. 19, 1838. Attended the school two years. Married John C. Baker, May 20, 1861. Their children are Edward C, 27 ; John M., 23 ; William B., 20 ; Lewis 18 ; Harry E. B., 15. Mrs. Baker is a teacher. 1178 Mary St., Elizabeth, JST. J. Isaac Bullard, son of William and Rebecca (Daggett) Bill- iard, was born in Dedham, March 12, 1837. Attended the school one term. Married Frances E. Davis in Hyde Park, Aug. 18, 1870.
