-s Junior Class Officers and Sponsors At last! The day has come when we-the Class of 1947-will be Seniors. The day that we all have looked forward to for so many years. The day that we thought would never come is here. In six schools scattered over Decatur, almost twelve years ago frightened and bewildered children donned their new school shoes and began the long journey through that fascinating thing called school',. Now as we look back it seems that only yesterday we were barefoot, playing childish games and getting into little scraps. Then in September, 1940, we all met for the first time and as time has gone by we have welcomed into our class new members and said goodbye to others. Our outstanding activity in junior high school was the presentation of our play When We Were Young', directed by Miss Mary Augusta Bibb. In September, 1943, we entered that aim of life-Decatur Senior High School. Through our sophomore and junior years we were a good class. We excelled all past records of junior class magazine sales and helped sell war and Victory Bonds. To climax our year we had the annual junior-senior banquet.
