H OMECOMIN G 972 Flower Girl Crown Bearer Cheryl Lynn Owens Bobbie Jo Meek Queen-Denise Sourjohn Homecoming '72 came with great excitement and alot of anticipation by the stu- dents. To start off the ceremonies, the parade began at 1:00 and traveled from DHS to the bank parking lot downtown, where a gigantic pep rally was held. There was great enthusiasm, as everyone was looking forward to the game, lst prize went to the Sophomores' float for Superdogs '72, and 2nd prize to the Juniors for Sandwich the Blackhawks. The Seniors and 8th grade came up with honorable mention by the judges. That night the Superdogs poured it on the Pea Ridge Blackhawks to win 48-0. Homecoming was topped off by a dance inthe school cafetorium after the game. The success of this year's Homecoming can be attributed to the great spirit shown by students and fans alike in support of our team.
