THE JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL TEAM H USTLE ALL YEAR The Juniors had a record of 4 wins and 5 losses. The main spark to the team this year has been Leroy Duncan both on offense and defense. Considering the exchange of coaches in the middle of the season they did a real good job. The B team really worked this year too and they meet their task by winning all of their games except for two, which they tied. THE BULLDOGS DE VELOPED BLUE PRIDE The Decatur High School Bulldogs were all pride this year. The boys played a few games away from home to start the 1970-71 season off. This was good be- cause it gave the Boys time enough to get used to the gym. The opening night in the new gym was a real thiller, but the Bulldogs came up a little short as Cedar- ville took home a 47 -43 victory. By the time the Homecoming came around the Boys were rolling right along and to prove it they won the game with a 81-40 victory over Farmington. At one time during the season the Bulldogs supported a 10 game winning streak. All together, Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores and Coach have worked to develope the pride of the Blue. There will be five Seniors leaving the team this year but this shouldn't stop the Bulldogs next year from having another great year as they have had this year. They know what its like to win and they like it. The leaving Seniors will be missed and all the Boys will remember them.
