They just didn't seem to come out ahead in some other games even though they played superb football. The team played hard and hustled all year and we are very proud of our team and coach!! The team developed some fine players this year with all the seniors, juniors, and most of the sopho- mores on the main team. Decatur will have most of it's team back again next year and will surely have another fine team. We owe a lot of credit to the seniors who were the team leaders and gave the team alot of spirit. We will hate to see them go this year. THE JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL TEAM H USTLE ALL YEAR The Juniors had a record of 4 wins and 5 losses. The main spark to the team this year has been Leroy Duncan both on offense and defense. Considering the exchange of coaches in the middle of the season they did a real good job. The B team really worked this year too and they meet their task by winning all of their games except for two, which they tied.
