VIRGO HERSHEL GENE BRANDON Hershel has been very active in school activities ranging from class projects to the athletic teams. He is better known for his high-flying basketball playing and his outstanding running. I-Iershel is known all over the state for his performance in track. LEO MARY JANE HENDERSON Mary Jane has helped the Class of '71 quite a bit. Although she is married and has a son, she does her part. She's always ready with a warm smile. IDRA RUTH SMITH Another asset to the Senior class is Lora Smith. She always has a cheerful attitude and consid- eration for others. JOSE LUIS CHACON .Tose likes to play any kind of sport, such as basketball and soccer. He was also an out- standing character in the .Tunior Play. He has a lot of friends and they know him as Joe. DONALD LEE COOK A well known athlete in football and track whom everyone likes, Donnie is also active in school organizations and extra-curricular affairs. All his friends call him Donnie.

TAURUS MONTY GLEN THOMPSON Monty is a care-free, fun-loving fellow who has a joke for every occasion. He has a great personality and a good attitude to go with it which makes him well liked by all. His out- going characteristics make him a number one at DHS. GEMINI RANET BILLIE MONTGOMERY Ranet is a sprite little gal with a sparkle in her eye that lets everyone know she's up to something. She plays basketball and is active in FHA affairs. PATSY LYNN KNOX Patsy is a great attribute to the Senior class. She always has a big smile and a good word for everyone. She is active in FHA, FTA,bas- ketball, Honor Society and Spanish Club. LEO GLENDA .TOYCE DICKINSON One of Decatur's outstanding students is Glenda Dickinson. She plays basketball very well and is also active in most of the school clubs. Glenda reigned over the 1970- '71 Foot- ball Homecoming as queen. With her glowing smile and warm personality, she is well liked by all the students at DHS. CANCER 1!Z...'3'!' CLARK EDWARD AMOS An industrious and helpful guy is Clark Amos. He has helped the Seniors in what ever way possible with never a complaint. He is active in FFA and has the ability to make friends fast.

VIRGO LINDA DARLENE HERRINGTON Linda is another notable addition to the Senior class. She is known for her sense of humor, her athletic ability and her willingness to get along well with others. DONNA IDU MEIGS A likeable and considerate person to all, Donna is very active in sports and school activities. In school activities she is Pres- ident of Student Council, National Honor Society and Spanish Club. She's Historian of the Senior class and an active member in FHA and FTA. Donna is also a great cut- up and can make anyone smile. LIBRA SCORPIO TIMOTHY HOWARD HIGBY A well dressed guy, Tim is not only popular in school activities, but loves to be romantic. His activities are Senior class President, member of the annual staff, Spanish Club, and National Honor Society. Great in sports, Tim was the Bulldog quarterback this year. LISA ANN LEEMAN Lisa is a great addition to the Senior class. She has been a member of theband for several years. Always having aready smile, and akind word for all, Lisa is awell-liked person around DHS.
