TAURUS MICHAEL NEIL DAHARSH no 'WE ARIES RICARDO GARCIA Ricardo is a very friendly guy at DHS. He plays almost any kind of sport but his favorites are basketball and soccer. He has anunusual hobby of raising game roosters. SANDRA KAY SILER With a smile on her face and that look in her eye, Sandy's always ready to make someone laugh. She is a very good student and also participates in most of the school activities. Her thing is just being around Dave. Mike is a well-dressed guy who is everyone's friend. He is active in football and basketball. He made all-district center in football this year and has proved to be an outstanding basketball player as well. ,QNIQUS :FULL 2 Z If I AY DEE DUNCAN ,T ay is another outstanding guy who presently serving as FFA President. He has reallybeen a great help to the Seniors and he's always been ready to help when he was needed the most. ,T ay has a bubbling personality and can make any- one smile. BEVERLY ANN SAUNDERS Although Bev is married, she still helps out the Senior class. She has a good personality and can be counted on when help is needed.

WE'VE HAD PROBLEM , WE'VE HAD F UN5 WE'RE THE CLASS OF '71! at-lik Senior class officers are: Tim Higby, Presidentp Mike Daharsh, Vice Presidentg Patsy Knox, Secretary: Monty Thompson, Parliamentariang Lisa Leeman, Reporterg Karen Wilmoth, Treasurerg Donna Meigs, Historian. This year the Class of '71 faced the anxiously awaited event - their last year ofhigh school. They selected midnight blue and silver as their class colors, the honeysuckle as their class flower, their mottog Hands that work, brains that think, hearts that love. Mr. Foreman had the pleasure of being selected as their sponsor. Looking back on their past ll years at DHS, they find the memories of all the fun they've had, the friends they've made, and also, the friends they've had to say good-bye to. Re- gardless of the bad times that can't be erased, we still have the enjoyable things to re- member. A Donnie Cook and Patsy Knox were chosen as Senior Class favorites. At the beginning of their Freshman year 11967-685, they had 36 Freshman present and accounted for. Down through the years, their class has dwindled and lost many of the classmates that were once an important part of their group. Twenty-three students now characterize the Senior Class of 1971. They con- tinue in hopes of successfully reaching one of the most important steps of life - GRADUATION DAY! 1 1

TAURUS MONTY GLEN THOMPSON Monty is a care-free, fun-loving fellow who has a joke for every occasion. He has a great personality and a good attitude to go with it which makes him well liked by all. His out- going characteristics make him a number one at DHS. GEMINI RANET BILLIE MONTGOMERY Ranet is a sprite little gal with a sparkle in her eye that lets everyone know she's up to something. She plays basketball and is active in FHA affairs. PATSY LYNN KNOX Patsy is a great attribute to the Senior class. She always has a big smile and a good word for everyone. She is active in FHA, FTA,bas- ketball, Honor Society and Spanish Club. LEO GLENDA .TOYCE DICKINSON One of Decatur's outstanding students is Glenda Dickinson. She plays basketball very well and is also active in most of the school clubs. Glenda reigned over the 1970- '71 Foot- ball Homecoming as queen. With her glowing smile and warm personality, she is well liked by all the students at DHS. CANCER 1!Z...'3'!' CLARK EDWARD AMOS An industrious and helpful guy is Clark Amos. He has helped the Seniors in what ever way possible with never a complaint. He is active in FFA and has the ability to make friends fast.
