HI TORY JUNIORS Upon our return as upperclassrnen we were pleasantly surprised by the changes which had taken place during our vacation. The most noticeable of these changes was the presence of our new principal, Brother Paul. There was little time for discovering new things, however, as we plunged with vigor into our new courses. Under the capable guidance of Brother William we soon were able to consider our- selves expert physicists while those of us who decided to continue our struggle with Latin were quickly up to our necks in Cicero. We found ourselves taking a more intense interest in the fortunes of our athletic teams, since many of their stellar performers were now our own classmates. The highlight of the football season was our win over St. Joe's. Our social interests also were increased with the climax of the year being the Junior Prom with the music of Dave Martin. Toward the end of the year a sorely needed public address system was installed through the efforts of Brother William. An important scholastic event was the establishment of the National Honor Society. For their outstanding records scholarships were awarded to Robert Marousek, James Dygert and George Dakoske. SENIORS At last, after three years of enjoyable toil and strife, we achieved the venerable position of Seniors. Thus with bolstered egoes we commenced a year that was to be one of the happiest of our lives. In a success- ful football season, La Salle again beat St. Joe's and climaxed the season with the Eastside Championship. The other athletic endeavors of the year were like- wise advantageous. Debating reached remarkable goals. We also became acquainted with sponsoring dances-such as a Halloween and Valentine's dance, to say nothing of the marvelous Senior Prom. It was on June 9. 1952, graduation day, that we looked back over the past four years-our hearts filled with a deep warmth of sentiment and perhaps a few eyes with mist, for our Alma Mater, its principles of Religion, Morals, and Culture, and the friendships of our La Salle Brothers and friends.
