The Student Council members are empowered to represent their respective classes. The council as a body legislates all bills affecting the students activities and welfare. Some activities sponsored this year by the Executive Board and Student Council were, rallies, dances, exchange student fund, athletic program, school newspaper, school clubs, purchased a small printing press, helped purchase band uniforms and equipment, furnished Students Union Room and supported the Pep Club, revised and passed the new De Anza constitution, participated in inter-school relations sponsored De Anza ' s first yearbook. %. auaccC FRONT ROW: BILLIE SMITH, KATHY SINCLAIR, MARY ANN WOMACK, DARLENE CHAN, JUDY JACOBS, RUBY FRY. Director of EnteilainmenI The Executive Board consists nf the Student Association President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Head Yell Leader, Rally Committee Choirmon, Service Committee Choirmon, Director of Entertainment and Director of Publicity. The Executive Boord members with their individual duties and as a combined group are in charge of the various school functions and activities. They ore responsi ble for the running of the I student government and act as a middle man between the student and the faculty.
