Head. 30 ECONOMICS uWhat is the law of supply and demand? To the majority of DePauwys men the mysteries of hFin. Org. and HB. Law become quite understand- able through their major in economics. Many of these men, normally some sixty strong in their senior year, go on to graduate school to specialize in their chosen field of business or law. Although still a definite minority, women find them- selves a not-tooeinsignificant part of the Classes in principles, marketing, and accounting, where they prepare for careers in merchandising, dietetics, and general home economics. The remaining econ enthus- iasts are those who desire it for their personal use. Through their study of Personal Economic Problems and Accounting these non-m'ljors discover that the im- pressive theories of economics are really not so remote from their daily lives.
