Yuncker, Taking a course in bacteriology gives the stu- dent access to one of the best-equipped labor- atories in the state. He is also fortunate to see his cultured organisims through new three-objec- tive microscopes. Dr. Yuncker, head of the department, gives lectures every week telling him all about the lovely little germs; Miss Marjorie Schneider, 21 graduate student in bacteriology, assists in the weekly labs and keeps him from licking his typhoid-Jaden fingers; Mr. Beck talks about the weather and the days news while handing him his clean containers. XVith this equipment and these people helping; it is easy to learn the culture of microbrganisms and methods of their control.
