jUNIOR CLASS HISTORY Time was, is past, thou canst not it recall: time is, thou hast, employ the portion smallg time future, is not, and may never be: time present, is the only time for thee. We, the present junior Class, first entered the halls of De La Warr High School in our Freshman year. In time, we became accustomed to the new building and its long corridors, the new teachers, and the endless comments of the upper classmen. Though this first year found us working on split sessions, the lO:5O to 4:30 schedule didn't stop our participation in various school activities. The elected officers of that young Freshman Class of three years ago were: President ..... . . Linda Barnwell Vice President . . . . William Bell Secretary .... . Margaret Feeley Treasurer ........ Linda Kane As fragments of time slowly ticked by, September saw us return to De La Warr as Sophomores, brimming with confidence in ourselves and our class to embark success- fully on a second year of frantic activity. We distinguished ourselves scholastically, socially, athletically, and through our unflagging school spirit. During the forthcoming year, our attention was turned to the candy drive, the bake sale, and the Sophomore Dance. With our class officers in leadership, we truly established ourselves as De La Warriansg President .... . Edith Edwards Vice President . . . Leona Drivick Secretary .... . Debbie Leighty Treasurer . . . . Barbara Ochoa As time cooled the long hot days of summer 64, we entered De La Warr, not as lowly underclassmen but as juniors, prepared to accept the challenges, shoulder the responsibilities, and pursue the academic, athletic, and social activities of the oncoming year. We sold stationery, sponsored the Christmas Dance, and planned and attended the long-awaited junior Prom. Our yesterdays followed us and gave character and force and meaning to our present deeds, as the present shall, in time, give to the future. Under the leadership of our class officers, we began to develop into a dynamic and united junior Class, President ......... Edith Edwards Vice President . . . William Bell Secretary .... . Debbie Leighty Treasurer , , , joey Williams 60
