Spikers have tough season First year coach Sharon Dinnell felt the girls' varsity volleyball team was a fun bunch of girls to work with, but their lack of teamwork really brought them down. The tough season came to a depressing 1-14 close in league. Their most spectacular win was against the Beyer Patriots. Some outstanding seniors were most valuable player Dionn Martin and most inspirational Raquel Cruz. Other inspiring seniors were Anita Parker, Katrina Iimenez and foreign exchange student Lena Langstrom. Most improved player was junior Barbara Blakeslee. Also contributing to the team were juniors Serena Galeazzi, Kim Hume, Kirsten Peters and Annette Martin. juniors Sally Voss and Karen Moore were two assets who suffered injuries which kept them out for the rest of the season. Frosh-soph volleyball, coached by Margaret Hodge, kept their incentive throughout the season with only three returning players: Felicia Fenton, Lori Nipper and jennifer Stubbert. Late in the season Stubbert was moved to the varsity team. Showing much dedication was most valuable player Stephanie Cruz, a freshman, and most improved Mary Nelson, a freshman. - Dionn Martin IV Volleyball: CFRONT ROW?
