Some people say that the three biggest decisions in someone s life are deciding on a career deciding to get married and deciding to have children For Michelle Lawrence these decisions are already being contemplated although she has already made the biggest decision of her life On August 19 1984 Michelle was officially baptized into the lifestyle and devotion of the Old German Baptist religion Michelle and her sister Laura started attending the church after their German Baptist neighbors invited them to one ofthe churchs activities Since then Michelle has centered her life around her religion Most young German Baptists attend their own private school Brethren Heritage but Michelle remained within the public school system. Prohibited by her religious beliefs she willingly gave up many average teenage activities such as attending dances going to the movies watching TV or listening to the radio. To most people these restrictions might seem very harsh but their importance to Michelle is limited.
