Offensively and defensively the Spartans had standouts. Offensively there were hit- ters that came through when it was needed. Hard hitters Kristi Bettencourt, Allison Weaver and Julie Caldwell proved themselves at the plate. On the field Bettencourt, Caldwell, Sheila Seiferer and Gina Heppner had tough defensive play. Said to be one of the best teams that ever played for Davis, the team proved themselves against the bes After beating teams like Tracy, stag and Modesto, the players gained r spect and determination.
