the Pulitzer Prize winning ploy "Our Town" by Thornton
Wilder December 6 and 7. Due to the overwhelming
interest of the public, the one-night presentation was ex-
tended to two nighs. Bottom row, from left, ore some of the
stars, including Don O'Brien, Carlo Johansen, Doug
Burroughs, ond Desiree Churchill. H The school Spelling
Bee was 'held December TO. Finolists were Morion Bogtosos,
Kotlhy Kosho, ond Rob Yokomizo, ninth, Lori Egleston,
Mdrgoret Kelly, ond Mike Vosquez, eighth, ond Dovid
Bloker, Kim Clark, ond John Dominguez, seventh. Ehr-
don-Muir Volleyball Gomes were ployed December IO

fashion styles oppeored on campus this yeor. Glittery
fabrics, slcyscroper shoes, ond vorious period costumes
were often seen on Kothy Arnold, Kim Rebuck, Delphine

H Mixed Chorus visited Beverly Manor December 18, a
project which turned out so successfully that Girls' Chorus
returned shortly after to entertain the patients. Q Senior
Orchestra went to the Burbank Golden Mall December TB
making an appearance which apparently thrilled Principal
Paul Williamson lupper letti. All choruses, along with
Senior Orchestra, provided holiday entertainment for the
students at the annual Christmas Assembly December l7
which was repeated for the parents December T9 in an
e ening performance. Art classes created the stage setting
This year's Bowling Club sponsored by Mrs. Laurie
Kolpias and Mr. Marv Cira, E ln December Snowball
Frol-ic was the Southern California dream and also the
name of the Christmas dance held on the l3th in the gym
Highlights ofthe dance was the appearance ot Mr. and
Mrs. Santa Claus, portrayed by Mr. Jean Mathias and
Mrs. Norma Johnson. They posed tor photographs with
students, includfng a rather bored Marcos Gallarza.
HHistory was made when Girls' League countered the
traditioinal Kinghts' Track Meer with their own Knightettes'
Tra'ck Meet January l5, Jeanne Pamirez, upper right, ran
the ninth grade 50 yard dash in seven seconds. Barbara
Sutherland received a ribbon in the eighth grade 50 yard
dash. Kings were Tom McDonald. seventh, Dave DeLong,
eighth, and Brad Parker, ninth E Blue, led by Mark
Carlson and David Foy, ripped the Gold 57-42 January
T3 in the ninth grade Blue-Gold Basketball Game. Gold
captains were Tom Viscocil and Rocky Zimmerman.
