Cougar, Starr, and J awards were given out and officers were presented to the student body and in- stalled at the annual Awards-Installation Assembly A special assembly was held for the girls because Girls' League won the annual Paper Drive. in February. The PTA presented a iazz assembly to thank the student body for their cooperation in bringing in PTA memberships in October. 1 Halloween was celebrated at Jordan with a party in the morning given by the PTA to classes who had brought in the most PTA memberships in the recent drive. This year's Blue-Gold Football Game, headed by captains Jeff Williams and Martin Ponek of the Gold and Phil Bertole and lVlarty Maggiora of the Blue, was held November 13. In this year's Basketball Jam- boree, held at Burroughs, the Fabulous Faculty handed the ninth grade boys a defeat of 63-59. Other spring sports included in the Jordan Athletic schedule were soccer, paddle tennis, gymnastics, scooter games, softball, and cross country. Softball activities included the Blue-Gold Softball Game. Also on the schedule were two- games against Muir. Highlighting the softball activities was the Faculty-Nine game in which the winning team of the Blue-Gold competition met the Fabulous Faculty. Highlighting the soccer activities was a visit from Burroughs' soccer team which found the ninth grade boys meeting and playing the older team. There were also cross country and gymnastics meets held after school.
