Q19 CAGERS WHIP PIR TES, 57-51 Reversing an early season defeat, Jordan's power-laden cage club swarmed over the San Pedro Pirates, 57-51, last Tuesday to leap into undisputed first place in the Eastern- Marine League standings with an 8-1 record. With the city's leading scorer, Earl Battey, pacing the Bulldogs, the charges of Ralph Caldwell roared to a 28-19 halftime lead and continued to cook on the front burners during the final period for sweet revenge. Willie Naulls and his cohorts have been a nemesis for Jordan for the last few years. All in all Battey netted 25 points, the fifth time th-is sea son he has scored 25 or more points.
