Smith. BLAZER STAFF STUDENT BODY STORE TRAIL BLAZER The aim of the Trail Blazer was to present a written and illustrated record of the entire school year. Because the past year has been one of more than ordinary growth and development for Jordan, the publishing of the year book was a task rich in experience for those working upon the staff. STUDENT BODY STORE The regular crowds third period and sixth period that throng the student store for malts, candy, and cold drinks are cheerfully and promptly waited upon. Row 3: Miss Zimmerman, LeRoy Steffey, Ray Vance, Fred Reiss, Bert Warner. LIBRARY The class in Library Practice has a two fold purpose, members of this group give valuable service to the school in the performance of the various tasks of library routine, and gain for themselves valuable knowledge of special library tools. Their duties include all the steps in preparing new books for circulation, such as collating for torn and misprinted pages, stamping, shellacking, pasting book-pockets, and filing catalog cards. They also mend books. issue books at the charge desk, check library pass permits. Once a week the group meets as a class to discuss general problems and special indexes and other reference books. In this way students increase their own efficiency and are enabled to use all libraries more easily and effectively. At least once a semester the library group enjoys a social affair. Mrs. Mildred Harrington entertained with interesting book reviews at the Christ- mas party, The program was so enjoyed that Mrs. Harrington was asked to give additional reviews to the library assistants and their friends at the Spring Punch-Tea. lt is planned to make this an annual affair.
