In the fall of 1954 only one foreign language was offered at David Douglas. That language was Spanish, and it was taught by Mrs. Vera Cook. When Douglas opened its doors last fall, six languages, including general language were of- fered to the stuolents. To meet the needs of this in- creased curriculum, there is now a language laboratory located in the Junior Build- ing.
