Their sound advice has steered many away from the pitfalls so often en- countered in high school life. Counseling in schools is a recent development, having been in its infancy a decade ago. Today, counselors not only work at David Douglas, but in the grade schools as well, advising students who have emotional problems, informing parents, and helping youngsters bridge the gap into high school.
