The class officers were presi- dent, Martha Glock, vice-president, Kenneth Iohnson, secretary, Norma lohnson, and treas- urer, Norman Coufal. The group sponsored a class play, Leave to Marry, with a cast of four girls and two boys. Ten juniors were nominated to participate 4 Maxine Martin Peggy Murpbv Irene Polivka Fred Vanis Donald Zima in County Government Day on Oct. l9 at the Butler County Courthouse. Primary and gen- eral elections Were held to determine who would take part. The participants were Leo Meister, judge, Mary Ann Marushak, superintendent, Verone Gibb, attorney, Norma lohnson, assessorg Maxine Klein, county clerk, Maxine Martin, treasurer, Kenneth Iohnson, clerk of the dis- trict court, Norman Coufal, sherittg Martha Glock and Leo Kovar, commissioners.

KSU Martha Stara, Joyce Metzgar, Letha Nozicka, Miss Lucile Hoffman, instructor, Mary Kozisek, and Rosalie Zegers review what they learned at the Butler County Reading Workshop. NORMAL TRAINING The lU normal trainers under the watchful eye of Miss Lucile Hoffman have been busy Whipping up projects to use during their days of teaching. Together the girls made and furnished a playhouse to use in the primary grades, and each girl made a dollhouse and various pic- ture booklets. The senior normal trainers spent much of their second semester practice teaching. is M 5. PTA, officers, Libbie Palik, secretary, Mary Kozisek, vice-president, Maxine Klein, news reporter, Letha Nozicka, president, and Connie Votava, treas- urer, select games for a party. 26 This is required by Nebraska law before the potential teachers can obtain a school. The national organization of normal trainers is known as the Future Teachers of America. Activities of the F. T. A. for the year in- cluded various dinners and a skating party. The David City High School F. T. A. officers are Letha Nozicka, president, Mary Kozisek, vice-president, Libbie Palik, secretaryg Con- nie Votava, treasurer, and Maxine Klein, news reporter.
