BAND OF AMERICA The background ot music for the television pro- gram was directed by Mr. C. Pl. Crandell. Sixty-two members and eight majorettes led by Miss Lois Gibson, drum majorette, made up the marching band. Plttending three marching band contests, the band won several honors. The group elected Iohn Dean Kucera, president, Rueben Klingemann, vice-president, Eva Welker, secretary and Carole Vanderkolk, treasurer. The band made appearances at the Nebraska state and county fairs, . - Two concerts were presented by the concert band. The first, a winter concert, was presented February l9g while the second concert, a spring concert, was given on Ptpril 7. Fill members of the band took part in the clinic held at the high school on March 2l. Solos, groups, and the entire band played for the clinic judge, Mr. Mark L. Crandell.
