V36 Delores From Doyle FYf9 uNDeaSTUDl'ES The UNDERSTUDIES to the seniors of 1950 have played their roles well in getting ready for next year's production. Seventy-two jun- iors sponsored a class play, Oh! Father, With an all-girl cast. This type of play- Was the first of its kind to ever be presented in David City. Members of the cast were Iudy Richards, Letha Nozicka, Ioan Anderson, Phyllis Blevins, Eva Welker, Evelyn Kucera, Dona Gans, Mari- lu Thomassen, Carole Vanderkolk, and Hen- rietta Svoboda. The cast did a fine job with the help of their director, Mr. Willard Ially. The leadership of the understudies was taken by their class officers, President, Donna Martin, vice-president, lack Lang, secretary, Phyllis Blevins' treasurer, Don Iohnson and their helpful sponsors, Miss Edith Roos and Miss Elaine Ludden. f fr, Iunior executive officers examine junior class play programs. The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary gave an oppor- tunity to juniors to participate in a county government program. Primary elections were held to determine who would take part in the county government program.
