George Hbbott Lois Flnn Crandell Virginia Haba ga. peculators The Speculators have taken great chances along the trails, but in spite of the difficulties and hardships they have contrib- uted some of the school's most outstanding athletes as well as many high-spirited student leaders. Their fine cooperation and activity give promises of an exceptional senior class for next year. Officers for the year were president, Mar- vin Craigg vice-president, Gary Widleg secre- tary, Eugene Sobolik, treasurer, George Hain. Their very helpful sponsor was Miss Edith Roos. The first activity that this year's Specu- lators undertook with their customary energy was the production of the class play, Great Expectations, at the auditorium Ianuary 7 and 8. This play, written by Charles Dickens, was the first serious type play to have been put on by the school in many years. Not only did the cast do a fine job, but credit must also be given to the hardworking production staff and to the play's director, Mr. Rex Coslor. The Iunior-Senior Banquet, which was held Hpril 30, was the entire school year's climax. The theme, Forty-nir1ers , took us right out of modern days into the past-back to the rugged gold-rush days, with the entertainment, decorations and dinner completing its perfec- tion.
