Oliver graduates have survived a stock market clash, a severe depression, several wars and numerous other events which disrupted their lives. ln spite of those struggles, our alumni helped keep America the freest and most productive nation in the world. The tides ofhardship have risen and falleng fortune has frowned and smiled again, but the past masters and mates of good ship Oliver have weathered the storms ofexperience in the march of progress. We are equally proud of the graduating class of l975. The record they have charted throughout the past lbur years gives ample evidence to their zest for living and meeting new challenges. Certainly they will face rough seas in the future, We all know ofthe new-brewing storms. We recognize problems such as the shortages of food and fuel. Possibly. even greater tasks will arise. But we are sure that again, the people ol Oliver will be ready. They have the ability, the enthusiasm, the youth and the faith: those qualities which guarantee success. We place our con lidence in them and the future into their hands. . . . is the captain speaking.
