When we first entered the school building in 1942 upstairs looked far away, and it seemed a long time before we could climb those stairs and really be in High School. We began our Freshman year as queer looking specimens of humanity-I am sure everyone remem- bers that initiation day. During the course of the year we gave two class parties and a chicken supper and square dance.
