"London Towne" was the theme picked for the
1968 junior Prom. The gymnasium was trans-
formed into a miniature towne of streamers and
The evening began as the Royal Couple, jane
Lindsay and John Taylor, entered London Towne
under the famed London Bridge.
The climax of the evening took place at the
stroke of ten when jane was crowned Queen of
the 1968 junior Prom. The Royal Couple then
led everyone in the Grand March to the music
of Paul Hemmer and his Orchestra. At the
stroke of midnight the gates to London Towne
were closed. However, the evening was far
from finished. Many attended post-prom
parties, and only the coming of dawn ended
the excitement. The memories never end and
the Prom of 1968 will live forever in our hearts.

The Woman s
Required To Pay
According to tradition on Sadie Hawkins day, girls are re-
quired to serve humbly their dates for the evening. There-
fore, the woman is required to pay.
The annual Sadie Hawkins dance was held Friday night,
September 27, 1968. The high school gym was gaily
decorated with many kites to correlate with the band,
BEN FRANKLIN AND TI-IE KITES. Four of these kites
represented the four Twirp King candidates. At 9: 30 Steve
Monson, senior candidate, was crowned the 1968 Twirp
King. Each candidate received a gift of candy for repre-
senting their class, and the King received a tie clasp. The
dance drew a large crowd.
Tom Belzer, lead singer of the group Ben Franklin and
the Kites, sang many popular songs.
