..-4-1 W 4 Y Ef! Dr. Henry Gatski came to Danville as Superintendent of Schools in June 1968. He is a product of several colleges and universities including Bloomsburg State College, Bucknell University and Penn State and has ascended to the degree of Doctor of Education. Dr. Gatski formerly taught math and science in high schools in New Milfred and Scott Township and also taught at Wilkes College. Dr. Gatski lists among his non-teaching experiences driving truck and carpentry. He also lists inter- ests in furniture refinishing and such outdoor hobbies as hunting, fishing, and swimming. Dr. Gatski is an active supporter of the athletic program and has stated that he is interested in all of the sports on the D.H.S. schedule. 2 Pc 29 I If -. iff' Q N: 'Q 'ri-5 -,,1.9i' : Mr. Jack Wanich has been affiliated with the Danville School System since 1947, he has served as High School Principal since July 1964. Prior to coming to Danville, Mr. Wanich taught Business subjects in the Manchester and Center Township School Systems. Mr. Wanich has at- tained a Masters Degree in Administration and has attended the educa- tional institutions of Bloomsburg State College, Bucknell University and Penn State. Mr. Wanich served three years in the United States Navy and has varied experiences in such pursuits as accounting work and carpentry. He is an avid outdoorsman participating in such activities as hunting, fishing, shooting, boating, and the like. -,,.g1- Mr. Robert Hawk, Director of Elementary Edu- cation of the Danville Area School system, is a product of Bloomsburg State College and Bucknell University from which he received his B.S. and M.S. He also furthered his education at Penn State University. Mr. Hawk came to our district after teaching outside the district for several years and has now been eighteen years in our system. Prior to becoming Director of Elementary Education Mr. Hawk was a teacher and Elementary Principal. I is l ii . el , -eat. e a A A f- . WH- 1- -- W 4 Mr. George Gehrig serves as Business Manager for the Danville Area School Systems. His is a vast responsibility which includes the management of vital funds for the operations of the schools within the district. Mr. Gehrig graduated from Blooms- burg State College with a B.S. and obtained his M.S. from Bucknell University. ZL1 ' G 1 -'A 3 Fa Mr. Bernard Zaborowski is serving in his third year as Assistant Elementary Supervisor. He has been in our school system a total of fifteen years. Before assuming his supervision position Mr. Za- borowski was a teacher in the Third Ward School and then Principal of Mahoning-Cooper Elemen- tary School. Mr. Zaborowski lists Bloomsburg State College, Bucknell University and Penn State as the schools which he attended. He has earned a B.S. and also an M.S. in Administration and Su- pervision.
