As soon as the waters went down, people started to emerge from their flood shelters and assess the damage about them. We did manage to begin at the appointed time. Students, teachers and all others concerned worked under certain adversities, as shown below, but in the end, a spirit of cooperation and willingness to endure hardship brought us rewards which will never be known to any other than the class of 73 . In June of 1972 We had just completed our junior year and were preparing to relax and enjoy a leisurely summer before coming back for our senior year. For many of us, however, these plans were not to materialize as expected. They were disrupted by a young lady who blew into town and acted very unladylike indeed. We heard she was coming, but even so, we could not prepare for her.
