memory in the hearts of every junior and senior there. It was a grand finale to a wonderful year and it marked the close of our second year at high school. At last in September of 1955, we entered the doors of our now old, familiar high school to begin the third and Hnal year. Proudly and eagerly we accepted the title of seniors and thus began a busy and wonderful year. Our senior class officers proved to be very capable and efficient under the guidance of Mr. Klinger. Our President was George Rudy, Vice President, jack Cribbs, 'Q ctriry, Nancy Laubach, Treasurer, Dorothy Delbo, nd IIIstorian, Virginia Deibert. We started off right, in the fall, with our magazine sales and managed to top the goal we had set for our- selves, The highest salesman was Earl Bickhart but the girls kept up the tradition of other years and ex' ceeded the sales of the boys and so were treated to a weiner roast at the football Held. Our football team under senior co-captains Carl Wy- socki and Don Smedley and the expert training of Coach Bills defied all pre-season predictions by walking away with the Susquehanna and Shikellamy Confer- ence titles at the end of a successful but hard-earned season of victories. During the season at our Milton game a home-coming queen was crowned. Of the five contestants, Jean Messersmith, Bonnie Payer, Nancy Laubach, Nanci McWilliams and Carol Bookmiller, Bonnie Payer was crowned. The year iust seemed to fly by and with the blowing of March winds came the Senior Class Play titled, Riddle Me Riches. The two casts worked hard with Mrs. Free as directress and the result of their work was greatly enjoyed and appreciated by everyone. Our last days were filled with important events that followed each other in rapid succession. First came class day that was a little sad, reminiscent and very amusing. The night of the Prom went all too fast for it was filled with wonderful music, glittering decorations with Stairway to the Stars as a theme, and many other wonderful little details that make such an un- forgettable evening as that one was. Graduation finally COMMENCEMENT SPEAKERS Left to right: Dorothy Delbo. James Burns Francis Swift, Janice Foust. arrived and on that memorable evening we found our- selves marching up the aisle in couples, the boys dressed in black gowns and the girls in white, and many of us were remembering with lumps in our throats all the wonderful things that belonged to three happy, care- free years behind us. Then we remembered the words of Mr. Maturani and Mr. Myerley in P. D. class: As citizens of a great and wonderful country, we have a task before us to perform-that of helping to make our country even better and greater: graduation is just an- other step in that direction. So with heads held high and shoulders back we marched firmly down the aisle toward an open future that lay ahead just waiting to be made. cuss orrlcsns 15 Left to right: Dorothy Delbo, Virginia Delbert George- Rudy, Jack Cribbs, Nancy Laubach
