SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In September 1953 we the class of 53 entered the portals of D H S for the last tlme again under the leadership of our capable and understandmg class advisor Mrs Spega We elected the following officers for our final ycar President Frank Fisk Vice President Samuel Starr Secretary Clara 'Starr Treasurer Donald Long and Historian Carol Mader The next thing m the lme of events was the Magazine Sales at which ws were quite successful with a protimt of S992 95 This success was partly due to good campaign management by Richard Bnchner and john Lelghow The highest ln sales was Lois Noll and Klair Seitz was the wmner of the attractive sold more magazines than the boys and so we were treated to a wexner roast wh1ch was spon orfd l y the l oys and held at the football field A grand timc was had by all There were two dances held during the year sponsored by all three classes The first was a Christmas dance titled the Frosty Frollc and the second one a Round and Square Dance Another one of the Senior events was a skating party at Island Park held on Llncoln s birthday March and April were two busy months for the Semors who were in the class play but on the mghts of Aprll 9 and 10 under the supervision of Mrs Free the cast proved themselves an outstanding success in Willie s Week End With the class play over and Class Day only a memory the next on the list was Graduation which meant we would have to say good bye to D H S and its fine teachers who have given us a guldmg hand throughout our three years in hlgh school CAROL MADFR 35 radio which was given by the Curtis Publishing Company.
