FR The first freshman class of Damien High School proved to have much tal- ent and spirit. As their secondary edu- cation began, they were introduced to many new experiences, most of which they handled with a high degree of composure. The freshmen became fa- miliar with many new courses such as algebra, Latin, speech, along with the old traditionals of religion and English. They also were taught respect for the seniors during a three day period of orientation. Athletically they were introduced to such sports as tackle football, soccer and baseball. In other activities they showed a high degree of participation. During rallies their higher pitched voices were always to be heard. This will be the first group of stu- dents to go through a full four years at the new Damien High. It is this more than any other class that will exemplify the change from old to new.
